Last week was hit or miss for the girls and their new napping routine. Some days they napped great while others they did not and were hot messes the remaining of the day.
This week they have been much better so far and I am learning quickly that there is a secret to this whole napping well thing.
You wanna know?
Keep 'em busy!!
I mean like so busy that the minute they sit down they are about to pass out!
This week we have been keeping it real (with normal weekly tasks) and real busy (with fun planned activities and outings)!
Monday: Costco
Tuesday: Storytime
Wednesday: Play Date
Thursday: Appointment for Me (they are attending too)
Friday: working on something fun to do or a play date
The mornings are crucial for keeping them busy and giving them snacks to power through the original morning nap time.
Our average schedule this week:
Wake: 7:30/7:45 AM
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Outing: Out the door by 9:30AM
Snack: Around 10 AM (in the car this week)
Lunch: 11:15/11:30 AM
Nap: 12:00 PM
Snack: 3:00 PM (or when they wake up)
Supper: 5:00 PM
Kensington slept for 3 hours yesterday and Quinn for 2 hours and 50 minutes!!! Hallelujah !!!
So we celebrated with a little stroller fun.
I was so excited that Kensington started pushing Quinn.
Quinn didn't want to return the favor though.
What works best for your little ones?
Your girls are so incredibly cute and I love their names!!! I am in the process of transitioning my 8 month old to two naps a day -- it's so hard to change their routines!
